Angel Shoot – Planning

Location - Downtown Neenah. Either the brick alley or trees by Neenah Towers. The final image will be a composite of two images. The first image will be made to look like a child - alone in the dark but feeling safe none the less. Below are a couple of examples of making an adult into a child. The 2nd photo is a protective angel. We'll use a back light effect. Here are a couple of examples (in the 2 locations) that kind of get to what we'll do...

Dreamera’s Circus

My 2020 shoot-a-month project continues through July. This shoot was all studio and results in a whole bunch of cool compositions. Featuring Wisconsin model Dreamera Marie, the shoot had a circus fantasy theme. We did all the shooting in front of a "green screen". The Bottom of The World

A 360 degree panorama from Badwash Basin, Death Valley.  The lowest point in North America - 282 feet below sea level.  This picture was taken by setting up a perfectly level tripod and taking a series of photos with about 1/3 overlap.  The pictures are then stitched together to form a panorama.  Next you need to carefully crop so that each end perfectly matches - including the horizon.  Then the polar filter is used to make the little planet.

Lunch at 9000 Feet

What do you do when you reach the end of the road? Stop for lunch, of course! Still a lot of snow in the mountains of Colorado so we went up to see how far the road went.  Just above 9,000 feet we came to a huge snow drift across the road.  "No problem, we have 4 wheel drive" the kid in me bragged, "Four people found frozen to death stuck in the mountains" the old guy in me warned.  The old guy won! Anyway it was a pretty spot to stop for a picnic.  I made a series of…
