Foggy January

January has been an adventure! Rain, warm, snow and bitter cold. Woke up this morning to 27 degrees after below zero all week.  Fog everywhere. Took this on my way to work this morning.  Some ice shoves on Lake Winnebago along with some thin patches from the rain.  Fog obscures the opposite shore. Before the Storm

Lake Winnebago has no ice yet and it is hard to see how there will be enough for Spearing season in just over a month.  Things have a way of catching up so you never know.  This photo was taken as the first real Winter storm of the season was bearing down on the Fox Valley. I used my Canon 5d MKIII with the Canon 16-35mm f/4 lens.  Aperture was f/20 to get as much in focus as possible.  The IS system really paid off as my hands were shaking from the bitter wind.
